Dean’s List
• Taylor Hopkins of Hendersonville, NC, has been named to the Piedmont College Dean’s List for the Fall 2020 semester. Dean’s List honorees achieve a 3.50-3.99 GPA.
• The following area students were named to the Fall 2020 Dean’s List at Berry College. The Dean’s List honors students who posted an academic average of 3.5 or better on a 4.0 scale while carrying a class load of at least 12 hours during the semester.

• More than 509 Berea College students were named to the Fall 2020 Dean’s List. A student is named to the Dean’s List who achieves a GPA of 3.4 or higher while passing at least four total credits, a course load equivalent to 16 semester hours.

• Hailey Dawn Breeding of Leicester, NC, has been named to the Spartanburg Methodist College President’s List for grades earned during the fall 2020 academic semester. President’s List students have achieved a grade point average of 3.8 or higher.
• Gaige Giger from Arden, NC (28704) graduates from Emory & Henry College in December 2020. Emory & Henry College faculty & staff are proud to celebrate Giger in their accomplishments.
• John Fox of Fletcher, North Carolina, was recently initiated into The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi, the nation’s oldest and most selective all-discipline collegiate honor society. Fox was initiated at Mississippi State University.
• Ethan Briggs Ide, of Candler, NC, was recently named to the University of Mississippi’s Fall 2020 Honor Roll lists. Ide was named to the Dean’s Honor Roll, which is reserved for students who earn a semester GPA of 3.50-3.74. In order to be eligible for honor roll designation, a student must have completed at least 12 graded hours for the semester and may not be on academic probation during the semester.
• A couple of locals students made the Chancellor’s Honor Roll at the University of Mississippi. The roll is reserved for students who earn a semester GPA of 3.75-4.00. The following students made the list:

• To be named to the dean’s list at the University of Vermont, students must have a grade-point average of 3.0 or better and rank in the top 20 percent of their class in their respective college or school.
