Weaverville – Lovers of farmers’ markets should check out a new one in Weaverville. Every Tuesday, from 3 pm to 6 pm, the Maverick’s Freedom Market holds a farmer’s market with a wide array of vendors and products.
The market is located off Monticello Road in one of the old Sonopress parking lots. It hosts a variety of local businesses dedicated to faith, family and freedom. The market allows shoppers to build a relationship with their vendors, enjoy all the area has to offer and savor the finest of wares, all while making a determinedly impactful choice to support their neighbor with every dollar spent.
“There are a wide variety of products available for your choosing, from vegetables to seafood and meats of all kinds,” explained Stephenie Moore with the market. “Value-added items such as organic body care, bread, tea, wearable clothes and accessories, art, and baked goods are also available.
The market also includes live music, kid’s activities and a unique local atmosphere.
“We are proud to serve our community with excellence, showcased by our fresh, handmade, locally produced, and lovingly crafted wares, said Moore.
Moore, a board member of Maverick’s Freedom Market, is excited about this standing event. In a press release, Moore says, “We have a deep-seated love for the community that supports us, and are excited to welcome all manner of shoppers and vendors alike to our market. We can’t wait to see how bright we will shine!”
Maverick’s Freedom Market is spearheaded by two well-known local businesses: Maverick’s Cattle Company and Bonny Bath. The market is at 108 Monticello Road (East Entrance, look for the sign). Debit and credit cards are accepted at most vendors.
