A Genre Variety Musical Program

Weaverville – The Weaverville Music Study Club is excited to be offering a performance by Kenneth Eggert, D.M.A., Adjunct Professor at Brevard College on Friday, June 17, 2022, at 7:00 pm, at the Weaverville United Methodist Church, 85 N. Main Street.  Dr. Eggert will perform a genre variety that will include Jazz, R&B, Rock’n Roll, Music Theatre and more. His performance will include vocal, piano, and bass. He will be assisted by Richard Riccardi, piano. 

Dr. Eggert is a performer, teacher, recording artist, arranger, ensemble director, and composer. He received his Doctor of Musical Arts in Composition degree at the University of Georgia.  In addition to his position as an adjunct professor at Brevard College, he serves as accompanist for First Baptist Church of Marshall, and as the singer/keyboardist for two local bands, Gotcha Groove and The Fine Colombians.   

Since 1941, the Weaverville Music Study Club has been promoting a love and appreciation of good music in the town.  A variety of programs are held throughout the year with free performances open to the public and a freewill offering collected during the event.  Funds raised are used for music scholarships and program expense.
