Tryon – The Tryon Beer Fest has been held on the first Saturday of November at the Tryon Depot Plaza since 2012. In honor of its twelfth year, the theme for the 2023 Beer Fest is “High Noon.” Attendees are encouraged to wear Western-inspired costumes. There will be cowboy-themed decorations, a photo booth, and food available from the “chuck wagon.”
Music for the Beer Fest will be provided by the Western North Carolina-based Rich Nelson Band as well as Atlanta-based Suburban Angst. Both bands play a mix of classic rock, current hits, and upbeat originals.
The real stars of the Beer Fest are the craft breweries which offer unlimited tastings to attendees. Participants this year range from Iron Key Brewing, Polk County’s only craft brewer located in nearby Columbus, NC to the Belgium-based St. Bernardus Brewery. Other Western North Carolina breweries include Dry Falls, Green Man, Wicked Weed, and many others.
General Admission tickets are available now for $45 and include unlimited tastings from participating breweries. A limited quantity of VIP tickets are available for $90 and include access to exclusive beers and food, indoor restrooms and one-of-a-kind souvenirs.
Tryon Beer Fest is presented by the Tryon Downtown Development Association and a dedicated committee of volunteers, many of whom have been involved with all twelve Beer Fests. Volunteer opportunities for the 2023 Beer Fest are still open, with sign-ups available online. Volunteers are not permitted to sample the beer during their shift but receive admission to the festival and an afterparty.
The Tryon Beer Fest is sponsored by New View Realty. All proceeds from the Tryon Beer Fest go towards beautification and development projects in downtown Tryon.
