Weaverville – The old Steak & Shake Restaurant in North Ridge Common is quickly becoming a Taco Bell. Luihn Vantedge Partners of Morrisville, NC, applied for a zoning permit in July to bring the Taco Bell franchise to Weaverville. Taco Bell is just one of the national chain restaurants that Luihn Vantedge Partners represents, along with Pizza Hut, KFC, and Long John Silvers.
According to their website, in a unique journey that traces back to its founding in 1966 by Allan and Donna, Luihn VantEdge Partners (LVE) has steadily grown into a thriving business, upholding its original family values while charting an impressive path of success.
A History of Growth and Expansion
What began as a venture to supplement Allan’s teaching income and support a family of four children has evolved into a prosperous enterprise. The first KFC franchise acquired in the mountains of North Carolina has grown into a multi-branded business, boasting over 170 locations across five states: North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, Florida, and Arizona.
Always focused on the future, Luihn Foods, a precursor to LVE, pioneered the Two-in-One concept between KFC and Taco Bell in 1993, paving the way for various other co-branding experiments. Currently, under the leadership of Allan’s son, CEO Jody Luihn, LVE is strategically positioned for aggressive expansion into high-growth markets. The year 2020 marked a significant milestone as the Luihn family partnered with family office VantEdge, forming Luihn VantEdge Partners. This collaboration initiated a major recapitalization effort with the ambitious goal of doubling the company’s scale over the next five years.
Strong Leadership and Recognitions
One of the enduring strengths of Luihn VantEdge Partners lies in its leadership. The company and its officers have received numerous awards for innovation, sales, and contributions to affiliated brands. Actively engaged in franchise advisory councils, these officers play a crucial role in shaping the future of LVE brands and advocating for franchisees across the board.
Backing this strong leadership is a wealth of talent. From its inception with a staff serving a single store, LVE now has over 5,000 employees, each contributing to the company’s success. LVE is committed to providing a platform for talented individuals to advance and express their ideas and creativity. This unique combination of talent, ambition, focus, and innovation propels LVE forward toward a future filled with success.
Nurturing Talent and Fostering Innovation
Amidst the growth and change that accompany success, LVE remains rooted in its beginnings. The business, initially built on family values, continues to uphold its roots to this day, showcasing resilience and commitment to excellence.
Soon, with the opening of the Weaverville Taco Bell, LVE will be one store closer to doubling its fast-food kingdom.
