Madison County – The annual Madison County Arts Council member artist Holiday Sale is a favorite holiday treat in downtown Marshall. For 2023 it has grown into a four-week long event. “The sale is always so fun,” says Erich Hubner, MCAC Program Director. “The Arts Center is transformed into a wonderful store filled with treasures from local artists and craftspeople. Every year, people return over and over again to buy more gifts for friends and family. It’s nice to have it open for a while so folks can come back in if they think of someone else,” he says. “This year we will also be hosting a special retrospective tribute exhibit featuring the work of artist Nancy Darrell in the mezzanine level gallery. The town of Marshall hosts the annual Christmas Parade on December 9th and Third Thursday the 21st the Downtown Marshall Association’s annual art crawl Jingle Mingle will be in full swing.”
Sales will benefit both local artists and the MCAC. Ceramics, Jewelry, Fiber Arts, Painting, Metal, Wood Work, Body Products, and Photography are among the media represented in this show. This is a fun chance to shop locally and find something truly unique. The sale hours are Mon-Fri 10am-5pm, and Saturday 10am-3pm. The Arts Center is located at 90 South Main Street in Marshall.
