Weaverville – The 10th Annual Weaverville Lion’s Club Car Show was held on Saturday, July 27, on the baseball field at the Weaverville Primary School. More than 50 cars were displayed for car enthusiasts from the area to fawn over. Lion’s Club member Dr. Woody Bolinger told the Tribune that the money raised was for a variety of the club’s work, such as summer camps for the visually impaired, scholarships at the high school, research at Duke University, and other eye research.
