Henderson County Resource Hub Locations

Henderson County is mobilizing six Resource Hub locations for water distribution and other supplies as they become available: Etowah Elementary, 320 Etowah School Road, Etowah, NC 28729; Rugby Middle School, 3345 Haywood Rd, Hendersonville, NC 28791; East Henderson High School, 150 Eagle Pride Dr, East Flat Rock, NC 28726; North Henderson High School, 35 Fruitland Rd, Hendersonville, NC 28792; Mills River Town Hall, 124 Town Center Drive, Mills River, NC 28759; Fletcher Town Hall, 300 Old Cane Creek Rd, Fletcher, NC 28732; Flat Rock Warehouse, 118 McAbee Court, Flat Rock, NC 28731.

Current Status

Henderson County remains in a State of Emergency. The county-wide curfew has been lifted, effective at 7 a.m., Thursday, October 10, 2024, though restricted travel continues along Highway 64, Highway 74, and Highway 9 in the Bat Cave and Gerton areas.

Disaster Recovery Center (DRC)

A FEMA Disaster Recovery Center has been secured at 2111 Asheville Highway, Hendersonville, NC 28791. It will open Wednesday from 1:00pm to 7:00pm and daily from Thursday, 8:00am to 7:00pm, providing federal, state, and local resources for residents seeking FEMA assistance due to Hurricane Helene.

Debris Removal

Henderson County has contracted Southern Disaster Recovery for storm debris removal. Open burning of debris is discouraged. Storm debris pushed to the right of way of roads will be collected promptly. Residents are encouraged to separate household garbage, construction debris, vegetative debris, large appliances, electronics, and hazardous waste to expedite the removal process. Use of the free curbside service is strongly encouraged to reduce fire risks.
