Hendersonville – Get ready for a festive evening as Downtown Hendersonville hosts the Holly Jolly Train Rides on December 21 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Historic Courthouse. This delightful event promises to be a highlight of the holiday season for families and friends alike.
Passengers will board the charming open-air Apple Express, beautifully adorned for the holidays, at the Historic Courthouse Plaza. “This is a wonderful opportunity to enjoy the sights and sounds of Christmas along Main Street,” said Terrye Jacobs, Downtown Event Coordinator. The free train rides, provided by Mountain Fresh Orchard, will run throughout the evening, allowing everyone to soak in the holiday spirit. Guests can also indulge in tasty treats and fresh baked goods available for purchase.
The festivities extend beyond the train rides. Children of all ages can enjoy a free photo opportunity with festively dressed llamas and a Christmas sleigh, courtesy of Ellaberry Llama Farm. Additionally, A Walk in the Woods will offer free faerie hair, while Color Me Happy will provide free face painting to add to the fun.
To sweeten the experience, the Henderson County Farm Bureau Women’s Committee will serve milk and cookies, along with educational insights about their origins.
Special thanks go to the Henderson County Tourism Development Authority for sponsoring these holiday events. For more details about upcoming festivities in Downtown Hendersonville, visit downtownhendersonville.org.
