Asheville – A new year is a time to reflect on what has been and where we want to go, as well as a time to celebrate the beginning of another year. It’s also a moment when many people seek a bit of normalcy and fun. How will you celebrate this year? Will it be a quiet night at home with family, music and dancing, or a big production? If your choice leans toward anything other than a quiet night at home (perhaps a pajama party with hot chocolate?), here are some fun and varied suggestions for this year.

Harrah’s Cherokee Center

One of the biggest events this New Year’s Eve is the show “Music of ABBA” with Direct From Sweden, joined by the Asheville Symphony, at Harrah’s Cherokee Center, Thomas Wolfe Auditorium. Ring in 2025 with the biggest dance party of the year! Direct From Sweden, an internationally acclaimed ABBA tribute band, will take the stage with the Asheville Symphony for a night of unforgettable hits like “Mamma Mia,” “Dancing Queen,” and more. Put on your disco boots and join in for an electrifying New Year’s Eve celebration!

Omni Grove Park Inn

As usual, the beautifully decorated Grove Park Inn has a weekend of events for your New Year’s pleasure, starting on Friday, the 30th, with a comedy show starring Greg Warren. Known for his sharp wit and relatable humor, Warren’s performances have earned him spots on “Late Night with Seth Meyers,” “The Late Late Show,” and “Comedy Central Presents.” Then, on New Year’s Eve, immerse yourself in the beauty of van Gogh’s “Starry Night” as you enjoy an enchanting New Year’s Eve Dinner with live music at the renowned Blue Ridge Buffet. Afterward, dance the night away at “A Starry Night at Grove Park,” featuring live music from the Royal Suits in a setting that brings the swirling skies of “Starry Night” to life. These events are open to both non-guests and guests alike.

The Grove Arcade

The Grove Arcade is once again hosting their Roaring Twenties New Year’s Eve Party, offering a glamorous way to welcome 2025. Set against the backdrop of Grove Arcade’s historic architecture, this speakeasy-themed soirée invites guests to don their finest 1920s-inspired attire and step back into the Jazz Age with live music, dancing, and classic cocktails.

Fae Nectar

Fae Nectar has risen from the rubble in Lake Lure to host A Celtic New Year’s Bash! Ring in the New Year with magic, music, and merriment at Fae Nectar, Lake Lure’s enchanting honey winery and medieval tavern! Prepare to be transported to a world of Celtic and fantasy wonder as we welcome KINNFOLK, the mesmerizing Celtic folk duo, who will cast their musical spell from 8:00 to 10:00 PM. Then, let the ethereal melodies of Ty DeFrancisco sweep you away on a journey through Celtic and fantastical realms.

Hendersonville Events

Enter a world of mystery and elegance at the Midnight Masquerade Ball this New Year’s Eve. Prepare for a night of masks, music, and magic at The Main Event. This event calls for glamorous masks and attire and will feature delectable heavy hors d’oeuvres, stunning acrobatics, live entertainment, signature cocktails, and a midnight confetti drop. This is the New Year’s Eve event you don’t want to miss—an evening where class meets fun, and every moment is a new discovery.

Hendersonville will also host its annual New Year’s Eve Apple Rise. The free event features New Year’s Eve swag giveaways, a DJ dance party, hot cocoa, games, and craft vendors—all leading up to the apple rise countdown at 7 p.m. This is perfect for families with young children or those who wish to enjoy an early, alcohol-free celebration.

Another option is the Rockin’ New Year’s Eve Party at The Horse Shoe Farm. Ring in the New Year with a lively celebration full of music, dancing, and festive cheer! Join us for a Rockin’ New Year’s Eve party, complete with live music, hors d’oeuvres and grazing boards, a cash bar, and a complimentary champagne toast at midnight.
