Hendersonville – Excitement filled the air in Hendersonville as the Rhythm & Brews concert series prepared to kick off on June 19, 2025, featuring the Appalachian Rock band Big Daddy Love as the headliner. The event, which takes place on South Main Street, promises a vibrant atmosphere with craft beverages, food trucks, and activities for children.

Summer Concert Series Launches
The Rhythm & Brews series, presented by Horizon Heating & Air, is set to run every third Thursday from June through October. Each concert will begin with opening acts at 5:30 p.m., followed by the headliner performance from approximately 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. Doors will open at 5:15 p.m. for attendees eager to enjoy the festivities.
Terrye Jacobs, Downtown Event Coordinator, expressed enthusiasm for the series, stating, “We are excited to announce that Appalachian Rock band Big Daddy Love will take center stage, with Letters to Abigail opening the show.” She emphasized the community spirit of the event, noting that it brings together local businesses and residents for a night of music and fun.
Big Daddy Love, known for their unique blend of rock, bluegrass, and Americana, has been a staple in North Carolina’s music scene for over 15 years. Their performances are described as a celebration of the Appalachian spirit. “Our journey is not just about making music; it’s about celebrating the soul-stirring melodies that echo the spirit of the Appalachian Mountains,” said a representative from the band.
Local Talent Takes the Stage
Opening for Big Daddy Love will be Letters to Abigail, a band recognized for their close harmonies and storytelling lyrics. Their sound draws from classic country, bluegrass, and folk influences. “Listening to our music is like being in on a well-kept secret,” a member of Letters to Abigail remarked. “We aim to create a unique brand of fresh and timeless Americana sound.”
The concert series not only showcases established artists but also highlights rising local talent. Jacobs noted that this mix is essential to the series’ appeal: “Rhythm & Brews showcases a dynamic mix of well-known performers and rising local talent… it’s sure to lift your spirits and welcome you to both new sounds and hometown favorites.”
For families attending the event, the Hendersonville Honeycrisps & the Hendersonville Toy Company Kid Zone will offer kid-friendly activities. Adults can enjoy a fully integrated beer, cider, and wine garden featuring locally crafted drinks from various breweries and vineyards. Jacobs encouraged attendees to leave pets and coolers at home but welcomed chairs on the Wells Fargo side of the event near the Kids Zone.
Parking options are available nearby, with both free and paid options. The closest paid parking is located in a private lot at Barnwell and Main, accessible only from King Street. Free on-street parking is also available outside Church and King Streets.
All net proceeds from adult beverage sales will benefit Friends of Downtown Hendersonville, a nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving and enhancing the small-town character of historic downtown Hendersonville.
The Rhythm & Brews concert series promises to be a highlight of the summer in Hendersonville, bringing together music lovers and families for an unforgettable experience.
