East Henderson won the most varsity boys basketball games in program history, including two playoff wins, behind WNC player of the year Caiden Brewer and coach of the year Marquintus Jones. Veterans Healing Farm faces losing their land in 2024 and is seeking community support to raise funds for a new forever home to continue their mission of enhancing the well-being of veterans and their families. The Super Saturday Children’s Theater Festival in Tryon brings together a diverse lineup of acts, musicians, and street performers for a day of affordable family entertainment spanning four decades. Close to a dozen venues participate in festivities to celebrate the agricultural heritage of Henderson County over the weekend of April 19-21st.
