– Benjamin Carroll “Benny” Bruce, Jr. of Weaverville, North Carolina, passed June 7, 2021. He was sixty-two. Benny was born to Benjamin Carroll Bruce, Sr. and Net-tie Lee Plemmons Bruce in Miami, Florida on March 25, 1959. A sixty-year resident of Weaverville, Benny attended North Buncombe High School. He worked with Festiva Resorts. Benny enjoyed being in the woods, and was a fisher-man and a hunter. He had an interest in hot rods. Benny’s grandparents, Ben-jamin Paul and Donnie Mae Bruce, “Doc” Fletcher Plem-mons and Ruth Jane Honeycutt preceded him in death. He is survived by Debbie Bradley, to whom he was married forty-two years; son Joshua of Candler, North Car-olina; siblings Kathy Roberts (David), Lynne Emory (Mark), Melissa Music (David) and Bryant Bruce; grandchildren Grayson, Gabriel, Harmony and Bella Grace Bruce; and many nieces and nephews.
