– Lula Jeanette Hensley Roland, 101, of Weaverville, NC met her Lord and Savior face to face on Sunday, August 22, 2021. An amazing woman, she lived her 101 years full of life, love, and laughter.
She is survived by her sisters, Mary Gosnell and Peggy Franklin; son, Robert “Bob” Roland (Pat) of Asheville, NC; daughter and caregiver Beverly Gregg (Ronnie) of Weaverville, NC; daughter-in-law, Betsy Roland of Rolesville, NC; nine grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
Her funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday August 28, 2021, in the Chapel of West Funeral Home, 17 Merrimon Ave., Weaverville. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 9:30 a.m. Reverends Timmy Burnette and Robert C. Roland will officiate. Burial will follow the service at Ashelawn Gardens of Memory.
For the safety and protection of all, the family asks that masks be worn when inside the building. Those who choose, may listen to the service on their car radio by tuning into FM 87.7, while in the parking lot of the funeral home.
