Kilgore Questions College and Patton Bike Lanes
Asheville City Councilwoman Sandra Kilgore voiced concern about the bike lanes proposed for College Street and Patton Avenue in the central business district. She said representatives from businesses in the area had told her they were not supportive, and nobody had asked them, the ones who would be most impacted, for any input.

The City of Asheville had planned to get bike lanes on the north end of Biltmore Avenue with state funds as the North Carolina Department of Transportation restripes the road. Property owners and tenants, however, told the city they had a far more urgent need.
