Asheville Finishes Third, Makes Playoffs
Asheville won twice last week, to make football playoffs. The AHS-Erwin game usually decides second place in the WMAC. This time, at stake was third place and the final playoff berth for AHS and its two foes. The Cougars won convincingly — over Erwin behind a sub quarterback, then to spoil the ending to resurgent North Henderson’s inspiring season.

Drive-in senior night was a victory for Erwin student athletes
