Council Switches Ramada Plans

Asheville City Council turned away from plans to set up and operate a low-barrier shelter at the Ramada Inn at River Ridge. Instead, it will sign its contract to purchase the Ramada over to a for-profit, non-subsidized developer, who will work with an intentional provider to set up permanent, supportive housing at the site.
