As the Asheville Police Department remains unable to keep up with downtown businesses' requests for crime deterrence, the Buncombe County Sheriff's Office, once again, has stepped up to provide reinforcement.

Judge Denies All TeamHealth’s Attempts

Over a year ago, Buncombe County filed litigation against TeamHealth for inflating insurance claims. TeamHealth is a contractor that handles billing for many emergency department physicians who work at Mission HCA. A federal judge has now sided with the county against all attempts by the defendant to have the case thrown out.
