Wreaths Across America Honor Veterans

Every December, Wreaths Across America honors fallen veterans by laying wreaths at their gravesites at the Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery in Black Mountain and Forest Lawn Cemetery in Hendersonville, as well as at Arlington National Cemetery and thousands of other cemeteries throughout the United States.

HonorAir Flies Again!

Blue Ridge Honor Flight brings dignity, healing, and closure for WWII, Korean, and Vietnam vets. These vets will be honored in D.C. at their respective memorials, and the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, then receive a heroes welcome when they come home that evening. Everyone is invited. 

Bill would make it easier for military spouses, veterans to find work

Military spouses and veterans could find it easier to get jobs in North Carolina. The House Judiciary Committee approved House Bill 1053 on Thursday, June 4, and it heads to the House’s Homeland Security, Military, and Veterans Affairs committee.
